THE WOMAN BEHIND THE METHOD

FOUNDER. EVELYN MARIA DIA

Athlete.

Artist.

Guide.

Hi, I’ m Evelyn Maria Dia and so glad you’re here.

I built Barre & Be from the intersection of everything I have lived —movement, craft, faith, and the work of becoming.

MY JOURNEY

The path

that built
the
method.

THE ATHLETE

  • Division I Track & Field , where I learned what a body is capable of and what it costs to push past its limits.

  • THE ARTIST

A transition into acting, learning to live in the body as a creative instrument, not just a performance machine.

  • THE GUIDE

Barre & Be, built to carry women through the transitions i navigated myself, with a method that honors the whole person.

"I built this for the woman I was in the middle of becoming — the one who felt everything deeply, who was more connected to her imagination than her nervous system, who needed a way through that honored all of it."

As a former Division I Track & Field athlete turned actress, wellness coach, and founder of Barre & Be. My path wasn't linear and that's exactly the point.

What I discovered moving between worlds of athletic performance, creative craft, and personal faith is that most wellness spaces only meet women in one dimension. They train the body or calm the mind, but rarely do both at once, and almost never tend to the spirit underneath.

Barre & Be was built to close that gap. To create a practice that moves through the body, regulates the nervous system, and makes space for stillness all in one session, all in service of getting to the other side of whatever season you’re in.

My approach is rooted in the belief that movement is self-care, not punishment and that a woman in transition doesn't need a push. She needs a guide who understands the terrain.

WHAT THIS IS BUILT ON

Truth over trends.

Presence

Every practice is designed to bring her back into her body — not escape from it. Presence is the practice, not the byproduct.

Integrity

No empty wellness promises. No hustle culture wrapped in soft aesthetics. Just honest, grounded work that actually moves something.

Faith

The practice is informed by the belief that stillness is sacred — that slowing down is not weakness but the beginning of everything real.

Movement as the
portal, not the
destination.

THE METHOD

Move

Breathe

Be

The body is the first place a woman feels transition — before her mind catches up, before she has language for it. Barre & Be works with that truth. Every sequence begins in the body, moves through the breath, and lands in stillness.

MOVE opens what the body is gripping. BREATHE regulates what the nervous system is carrying. BE creates the space for it all to integrate.

That's the complete cycle — and it's available to her in twenty minutes.
